What is an SPL token?

SPL (Solana Program Library) tokens are Solana’s equivalent of ERC‑20 tokens on Ethereum. They are created and managed by the official Token Program, so they’re recognised by every Solana wallet and explorer.

Does the wizard use the legacy Token Program or Token-2022?

It creates legacy SPL tokens (Token-2022 creation page will be added soon). That guarantees the widest wallet and DEX support.

Can I mint more tokens later?

Yes, unless you revoke mint authority. That toggle permanently removes your power to create new supply.

What happens if I make the token immutable?

The update authority is revoked, so name, symbol, logo, description and links can never be changed. This reassures investors that metadata will stay the same.

Where is my token metadata stored?

The wizard uploads a JSON file (plus your logo) to decentralized storage. That gives you permanent, censorship-resistant storage with no renewal fees.

Are social links mandatory?

No, but adding Twitter/X and Telegram links makes it easier for users to verify the official channels behind your token.

Can I change creator information after launch?

Only if your token has an update auhtority and editing metadata is not locked. Once the update authority is revoked, creator fields are locked permanently.

Where can I see my new token?

As soon as the transaction confirms it appears in your connected wallet, Solana FM, Solscan and other explorers under your wallet's address.
